On 22nd of march at 10:00 AM at the rural hotel Son Manera there was an act of presentation of the innovator solar concentrator CCStaR(Collector Concentrating with Stationary Reflector) of the enterprise T.S.C., an spin-off of the UIB.
The dr. Víctor Martínez Moll (professor at the University of the Balearic Islands in the mechanical engineering group) made an introductory speech at the rural hotel entrance. In this speech he explained about what the project consists, where T.S.C. went out and agreed the help of all people involved in the project.
After that they visited the solar concentrator where Víctor followed his speech about the characteristics of it. The assistant showed a lot of interest all the time, making questions about the operation of the solar concentrator, working temperatures, maintenance between others.
The topics more talked were the solar cooling by double effect absorption, solar heating, and possible applications in the industry.
Between the assistants were, Vicens Matas, general director of the Parc BIT, Domingo Muñoz, the businessman who believed in the project since the beginning and invested on it, Feliciano Fuster, the honorific director of Endesa and the representation of the Energy Counseling and other companies like Sampol, Cabot, Fundació Eduard Soler, Jo-Go…

Finally the visit finished by a snack, courtesy by Mr. Domingo Muñoz, at the restaurant of the rural hotel, were we have enjoyed of an opinion interchange between the assistants, who congratulated us for getting ahead with a so colossus project.
